Bravo 22 Airsoft

About the  Kirby site

The site is a neglected paintball  site which we have considerably  upgraded particularly the safe area as we believe our players deserve the best facilities we can provide. We call the site the wilderness.

The area covers approximately 70 Acres with 30 plus available to play in at this moment in time.,the rest is covered in dense rhododendrons. Although the site has been neglected and suffered vandalism [ an ongoing problem] it is an excellent site. As well as plenty of cover it has  2 forts  plus other defences, we will be continuing to develop the playing areas so you can expect to see changes each time you play.  We have , and will be developing, new games  for this site.

The terrain is basically flat with one low ridge and is peat so no sand in the guns. It can be a bit boggy  when wet, and  currently has a greater playing area than our old Formby site.

Molly's Lane  is a narrow road that is a single track as you get onto Cut lane so please keep your speed down and be prepared to give way. It is also a rural road so the local residents  don't always have the road awareness of  the city so please keep your eyes open and your speed down. Airsofters don't always have good PR ,so lets show that Bravo players are considerate and  cause minimum disruption to the locals.

There will be yellow directional signage out on game days.

Important Things You Need To Know

Because of both the difficult terrain and insurance requirements Long sleeve tops and long trousers are mandatory regardless of the weather. If you turn up without meeting these  requirements we cannot allow you to play.

We also recommend [though not mandatory ] boots and gloves as there are brambles and thick undergrowth . We sell gloves if you need them[ see the bravo shop page]

The Location and Directions

The Wilderness

New Cut lane

I have deliberately omitted the post code because GPS generated maps and directions e.g. satnavs, google etc. do not take into account dead ends and gated roads. The only reliable way to get there is to follow the directions below.

Find your way to the:

Copper Pot, Coopers Lane, Knowsley, L33 7TT [off the A580 East Lancs road]

If your coming down from the north

M6 South bound

Junction 24 turn right onto A58 for 1.5 miles

Turn Right onto A580 [EAST LANCS Road] for 7 miles

Traffic lights turn right into industrial estate Copper pot Pub is at these traffic lights

From the Copper Pot

follow the directions below  Do not use satnav or other electronic route finders or apps or google as the roads in the area are gated or blocked and don’t show up as such.

You can only access down Molly’s lane

            Up Coopers lane  to roundabout

·        At roundabout take 2nd exit then sharp right on to Molly’s lane  [there is a scaffolding company on the corner]

·         Down Molly’s lane and into  Cut lane [power station on right]

·         Turn up New Cut Lane

·         Past New Cut Lane farm is a gate, the road the other side of the gate leads to the site.
